Our Story

The Orpheus Global Independent Music Awards (OGIMAs) was born out of a deep-seated passion for music and a desire to spotlight the incredible talent found in every corner of the world. Our mission is to create an open platform where musicians of all genres and backgrounds can receive recognition for their unique contributions to the world of music.

We understand the challenges that independent artists face in getting the recognition they deserve. That’s why we strive to provide a comprehensive, fair, and accessible awards platform without imposing hefty fees. We are fully committed to amplifying the voices of independent musicians and showcasing their work on a global stage.

The name of our organization, Orpheus, is inspired by one of the most prominent figures in Greek mythology. Orpheus, renowned for his musical and poetic talents, signifies the transformative power of music - a power we believe is inherent in every artist we recognise.

Through the OGIMAs, we offer digital certificates, beautifully designed wall plaques, and distinctive digital winner/nominee logos as symbols of recognition for the creative brilliance of our award recipients. As well as this, every single submission is recognised in our annual awards Magazine which is carefully crafted to highlight every artist whom we receive submissions and nominations from.
